This is a discussion- and collaboration-based class in which learning will rely on everyone’s participation. As part of your responsibility for the progress of the course, you will sign up for particular roles in discussion-leading, note-taking, and written reflections.
You will work on four mini-projects over the course of the semester, and select one of these to develop into a final project which you will share at the Women’s Studies Undergraduate Research Celebration on December 9.*
Requirements (Grades are stored on ELMS)
Mini-projects: 40% (four projects each worth 10% of your grade)
Final project (building on one or more of your mini-projects): 25%
Active engagement and participation: 10%
Blog entries (five over the semester in response to readings): 10%
Live notetaking on Twitter: 5%
*If you have a compelling reason for not wishing to share your final project in public, there will also be an opportunity to submit it privately.
